CEO & Creative Director
James has more than 25 years of experience across game development and publishing, with roles at Climax, Pyro, Disney Interactive, Square Enix and PlayStation London Studio. His background spans creative direction, production, brand strategy and new IP development. He is known for clear vision, decisive leadership and an ability to align teams around intent. His combined creative and commercial insight shapes the studio’s direction, product strategy and long-term IP planning.

Director of Operations
Ciaran spent more than a decade at PlayStation London Studio leading Art, Animation and External Development. His experience spans hands-on production, global outsourcing, studio operations, strategic management and cross-departmental leadership. He has contributed to industry standards through the XDS Advisory Committee and mentoring with Northern Ireland Screen. At Twisted Works he oversees operations, production structure and organisational strategy, ensuring teams have the support, clarity and conditions needed to deliver at scale.

Director, Character Director
Etienne brings 25 years of character development experience across visual design, animation and asset production. His early work for Cartoon Network and Nintendo shaped an approach focused on clarity, appeal, readability and audience sensitivity. As co-founder of the UK’s first character-focused art production studio, and through his work with Blur Studio on projects including Love, Death and Robots, he developed a strong belief in aligning creative ambition with technical execution. At Twisted Works, he ensures characters connect with audiences and support gameplay, building alignment across disciplines so creative intent carries through from concept to controller.
