This press kit supports the latest public update for Cast Outs, Twisted Works’ upcoming 2- to 4-player co-op action game set in a reimagined modern-fantasy London. 

Following its appearance at IGN Live 2026, Twisted Works has released a new narrative trailer and a behind-the-scenes development update, giving players a closer look at the world, characters, creative direction, and the game's ongoing evolution. 

The studio is being open about development, sharing its creative process, the challenges it is working through and the decisions shaping the experience. Players are invited to wishlist Cast Outs, join the Discord community, ask questions, share feedback and follow future playtest opportunities as development continues. 

Cast Outs is a 2 to 4 player co op PvE action game set in a reimagined modern fantasy London, where ancient magic, modern city life and dangerous dimensional rifts collide. 

Players team up to wield physical magic, combine abilities, move fast through transformed city spaces and fight back against an ancient threat. Designed for instant fun in short sessions, Cast Outs combines expressive magical combat, high-mobility traversal, run-based upgrades, and true team synergies to create chaotic, rewarding co-op action. 

The game is currently in development for PC and PlayStation 5, with crossplay planned. Further platform and release details will be announced at a later date. 

Twisted Works is a London based independent game development studio founded in June 2024, developing new IP for PC and console in the online co op multiplayer market.

The studio focuses on character driven co op action games that combine fast, visceral combat with rich worlds, visual storytelling and shared player-driven moments. Its mission is to create approachable, replayable experiences that deliver powerful fantasies, instant fun and memorable stories for players to enjoy together.

Twisted Works is led by veteran developers with experience across PlayStation London Studio, Guerrilla Cambridge, Creative Assembly, Disney Interactive, Square Enix, Blur and Slide London. The team’s credits include major action and character-focused titles such as Horizon Forbidden West, Blood & Truth, Resident Evil 7, Killzone, Total War, Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier.

 This update gives players a more honest look at how Cast Outs is being built. The new video combines a narrative trailer with a behind-the-scenes look at prototype development, creative evolution and work-in-progress gameplay. 

Rather than only presenting a finished marketing beat, Twisted Works is opening the door to the development journey. The team is inviting players to follow the game early, join the community, ask questions, share feedback and take part in future playtest opportunities as Cast Outs continues to evolve.
